St. Augustine. July 9, 1837. [4]pp. autograph letter, signed, on a folded folio sheet, addressed for mailing and with a circular “St. Augustine” postal stamp on the fourth page. Old folds. Remnants of wax seal on fourth page. Short, closed splits along a few folds, with no loss of paper.....
Paris: Imprimerie de Wittersheim, 1845. 24pp. plus eight plates. Gathered signatures, stitched. Light scattered foxing on the plates. Tear in outer margin of final leaf, not affecting text. Very good. Without the wrappers (but likely as this copy was issued). In a half morocco and marbled boards chemise with gilt.....
