A "Final Master Script" of this adaptation of Melville's story, prepared by Lawrence and Lee as an early episode of the television series to which they would frequently contribute, the FAVORITE STORY series. An important and relatively early serious literary contribution to the new medium by the dramatists, this television production was preceded by a 1948 radio adaptation in the analogous 'Favorite Story' radio program. John Laurie was cast in the role of Bartleby in this production. Uncommon.
