Osler writes to "Dear Nettleton" (Prof. G. H. Nettleton), thanking him for a received book, noting: "You remember Miss Howe who was here - a literature student - well! the best tribute I can give you is that she immediately annexed it and spent the afternoon on the terrace making notes, and she vowed it was a most useful and satisfactory book...." He expresses his regrets that the recipient won't be in Oxford in the summer months, sends "love to that nice wife of yours," and closes, noting he is looking forward to a visitor the following week. Signed in ink: "Wm Osler."
