The sale consisted of well over 123 lots (including lettered lots), some of the more important with commentary. The lots were sold at the direction of the executors of Judge Hilton's estate, and overseen by Du Vivier & Co. Hilton is best remembered for his profitable association with Alexander Stewart, and for his 1500 acre estate in Saratoga Springs, known at its height as Woodlawn Park. Not recorded in OCLC.
