First and only printing of this well- illustrated edition of the adaptations by the Latin fabulist Phaedrus of the Greek fables of Aesop, as edited by Johannes Laurentius. Two engravings, at pages 133 and 194, have been supplanted by other, tipped in engravings. The Fables are followed by an "index vocabularum" and an "index rerum & verborum." BRUNET IV:588.
