First U.S. edition, preceded by the London edition published a few weeks earlier. This copy has signature mark 1 (no priority), and four pages of preliminary adverts, with PINK AND WHITE TYRANNY noted as 'nearly ready.' PW reported the first US edition consisted of 10,000 copies. BAL 167.
