First edition of the poet's first book, small paper issue. One of five hundred copies in this format. This binding is unrecorded in Kramer, and an earlier owner has noted it as "experimental" in pencil on the free endsheet. The author (1869-1902) was the 1891 Harvard Class Poet, and author of one of the first American studies of Verlaine. KRAMER 14.
