The map, engraved by G.W. Sharp, is shaded with seven colors representing various minerals in New South Wales. On the verso of each panel are printed statistics for telegraphs, railways, livestock, banks, exports, minerals, etc., for 1874-75, as well as an article entitled "Advantages of New South Wales as a Home for the Emigrant."
