A collection of works by the naturalist on Otto von Kotzebue's Pacific voyage. Chamisso was more well known for his literary work, including the fable of Peter Schlemiel, and the first volume contains a large selection of his poetry and a prose work. The second consists of his account of the expedition, originally published as one volume of the official narrative.
