An account of a transcontinental trip accomplished with a single horse and buggy. The author set out to prove that he had the "Champion Long Distance Horse of the U.S.A." He soon realized this wish in a dash to escape from California in order to return to his home state of Connecticut. Contains charming photographs of the man and his horse. With an additional card depicting Brown and Handsome Dick laid in.
