A Hakluyt Society publication of the Zeno voyages. The Zeno brothers were Italian aristocrats whose letters and map, which were published after their deaths, describe a voyage through the North Atlantic at the close of the 14th century. The voyage has been controversially regarded as a hoax by some historians and this publication is an attempt to validate the brothers' account. With a facsimile reproduction of the famous map which accompanied the publication of the first edition of the Zeno narrative in 1558. HOWES M231.
