The original work was the first on Texas, and the first American travel account. A foundation work on Texas and the Southwest, in its first scholarly edition. Issued as the seventh volume of Henri Ternaux-Compans' VOYAGES, RELATIONS ET MEMOIRES ORIGINAUX (1837-41). SERVIES 2037. GRAFF 3053. FIELD 227. BASIC TEXAS BOOKS 24e. WAGNER, SPANISH SOUTHWEST, p.33.
