This copy bears the ownership signature of Richard Willing on the titlepage. Willing, of Chester County, was a member of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1788 to 1790. This volume of the Journals of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives contains vital records from the period of the American Revolution. Printed in this volume are the Proceedings of the Provincial Conference of Committees, the Declaration of Independence, the Proceedings of the Convention of the State of Pennsylvania, and the Articles of Confederation.
