Two supplementary issues to the official GAZETTE produced by the Imprimerie Royale, giving news on the activities of French forces at the outset of their involvement in the American Revolution. The main news carried here is of the skirmish between the French navy and ships of Admiral Keppel's Channel Fleet, which showed the British that the French navy was a force to be reckoned with.
