Three prize-winning medical dissertations by George Cheyne Shattuck, a Boston physician. The work is dedicated to Ward Nicholas Boylston, the originator of the prize at Harvard University. This copy was purchased with other books from Boylston's library and is probably his copy. The binding suggests it might have been a presentation, with elaborate gilt ruling on the spine and git border on the front and back board. SHAW & SHOEMAKER 16179. SABIN 79871. AUSTIN 1736.
