An early Connecticut almanac with many anecdotes and joke. Notable is an anecdote about Voltaire's punishment for writing an epigram about the King of Prussia: "King, author, philosopher, poet, musician, / Free mason, oeconomist, bard, politician; / How had Europe rejoic'd, if a christian he'd been! / If a man, how he would have enraptur'd his Queen!"
