A highly detailed, large-scale map of the Midwestern states of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota, with additional vignettes of St. Louis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. The eastern and southern parts are well developed, but northern Michigan and Wisconsin, western Iowa, and particularly Minnesota, are still in a primitive condition. Excellent information on early roads, railroads, canals, counties, towns, and townships.
