Later edition of Stengel's GNOMONICA UNIVERSALIS, a scarce German work on sun-dials illustrated with a profusion of engraved plates of dials, navigational instruments and other related diagrams. Although this copy apparently lacks some of the plates, many copies of earlier editions cited in the NUC are also lacking plates. The NUC locates a total of eight copies of other editions, printed in 1675, 1679, 1680, 1706, and 1712, but not the present 1755 edition.
