"Private Edition Published by the Author." A galloping epic in seven cantos, much of it relating to events on the border, fights with the Apaches, and similar stuff. Two of the cantos relate to the Battle of San Jacinto and contemporary events, with Sam Houston gushing forth in rhymes inconceivable to even his most fawning admirers. The titlepage credits the author with several titles the NUC is unwilling to ascribe to him. TUTOROW 4216.
