The second edition, after two issues of the first edition published the previous year. This edition is not listed or noted in Wagner Camp. Bowles' party left Kansas in May 1865, reached San Francisco in July, and travelled thence to Oregon and Washington by steamer. In August they saw Yosemite, returning to New York the following month.
