The Ratisbonne edition of this important collection of state papers relative to the establishment of the Treaty of Paris, ending the French and Indian War, the cession of Canada, the limits of Louisiana, the fisheries off Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Guadeloupe, etc. This work was issued at the order of the French government in an attempt to lay fault at the feet of the British for the break-off of peace negotiations, and it was quickly translated and printed in London the same year. A document of great importance, with a key place in the beginning of the negotiations which would result in securing for the British much of North America. HOWES M507. SABIN 47516. TPL 338.
