THE LITTLE REVIEW.
Little Review.
Chicago: The Little Review, March through June 1914. I:1-4. Bound up in one volume (front wrappers retained) in contemporary blue cloth (noted on the front pastedown: "Bound by Kroch August 1914"). Spine extremities rubbed, a few stray marks to cloth, a couple tears to front free binder's endsheet, but very good. Edited by Margaret Anderson and (later) Jane Heap, with occasional distinguished foreign editors, most notably Ezra Pound. One of the defining literary periodicals of the Modernist era, about which much has been written, and little more need be said here. While these early issues are but a shadow of the coming greatness, they have become somewhat elusive, and include contributions by Dell, Ficke, Lindsay, Sherwood Anderson, Teasdale, Tietjens, et al. HOFFMAN, et al, p. 245.
