THE HISTORY OF THE DUBLIN ELECTION IN THE YEAR 1749. WITH A SKETCH OF THE PRESENT STATE OF PARTIES IN THE KINGDOM OF IRELAND.
" Briton, A" [undisclosed pseud]:

" London" [i.e. Dublin]: Printed for John Swan, facing Northumberland House in the Strand, 1753. xi,[1],160pp. Octavo. Extracted from bound volume, untrimmed. Early ink ownership signature and a few ink marks on title, a few enlightening instances of early marginalia, old stamps of a defunct mercantile library, modestly tanned overall, marginal dust-soiling; just a good copy. One of several political pamphlets evidently published by Swan in Dublin over a fictitious London imprint; Pollard identifies him as a bookbinder on Fishamble Street, 1753- 1779. The Bradshaw catalogue cites this work, as well as two other works by "A. Briton," published under the same imprint, as part of the PATRIOT MISCELLANY, assigned to Edward Bate. There was another 1753 impression/edition, paginated at 199pp. BRADSHAW 4389a. POLLARD, p.557. BLACK 104. ESTC T2137.
