Thomas Hutchinson's copy, with his book label, and large complement of inserted related clippings and manuscript transcriptions on the endleaves. Inserted after the title is a small a.l.s., on stiff lettercard, [np], 6 March 1889, from Dobson, apologizing for an error of some sort, noting that "twenty years of the amenities of criticism have made me very careless in such cases...."
