THE IMMIGRANT BUILDER; OR PRACTICAL HINTS TO HANDY-MEN. SHOWING CLEARLY HOW TO PLAN AND CONSTRUCT DWELLINGS IN THE BUSH, ON THE PRAIRIE, OR ELSEWHERE, CHEAPLY AND WELL, WITH WOOD, EARTH, OR GRAVEL.
Dwyer, Charles P.:

New York: Hurst & Co.: 1884. 145pp. including numerous in-text illustrations, plus 10pp. of advertisements. Original decorative cloth, elaborately stamped in black. A near fine copy. One of two editions stated "Tenth" (published in New York and Philadelphia the same year), although, as Hitchcock notes, "the absence of locations for editions two to nine is curious" (Hitchcock 400). Bright and clean, the present copy obviously never traveled with a western immigrant.
