ROOT'S MUSICAL TRANSPOSITION KEY BOARD!
Root, Riley:
[Galesburg, Il. 1850s]. Broadside, 12 x 9 inches. Very good. Riley Root is best known for his overland journal to Oregon, which he published on his return to Illinois in 1850. After that he pursued a career as an inventor of sorts. He had this broadside printed to promote his new musical keyboard, asserting that its principle "is beyond the stretch of thought to grasp."
