Foxing and dampstaining throughout. A good copy. A later edition of GOD'S PROTECTING PROVIDENCE..., originally published in 1699, and one of the most popular of 18th-century captivity narratives. The author and a party of Quakers were bound for Philadelphia from Port Royal when they were shipwrecked in 1696 near present-day West Palm Beach.
